The EFL Ranch Retreat Day is an afternoon at Kenshō Stables — unhurried, restorative, and held from start to finish by the land, the horses, and intentional facilitation.
You'll begin with a welcome tea and a gentle introduction to equine-facilitated learning, then take a mindful walk through the shaded oak grove to meet the herd. Costa Rica Retreat: Bliss
Bliss: Costa Rica Retreat
Recharge. Reset. Refocus.
Vajra Jahra, Costa Rica
A Retreat for Cultivating Connection, Presence & Joy
Step into a slower rhythm of life in the heart of Costa Rica’s Diamante Valley, where lush rainforest, cascading waterfalls, and open skies create the perfect setting for renewal.
Costa Rican Bliss is an immersive retreat designed to balance adventure with ease, inviting you to unwind, explore, and reconnect with what feels most alive in you.
This year’s retreat also features a special guided experience:
R³: Recharge, Reset & Refocus. A retreat ritual practice with Kenshō Stables’ Gretchen Fox Palmer.
Through a series of gentle group sessions and optional 1:1 coaching moments woven throughout the week, Gretchen will guide participants through a reflective process designed to bring clarity, intention, and alignment across all areas of life.
Together, the retreat becomes both an outer journey through Costa Rica’s wild beauty and an inner journey toward your most aligned life.
The Experience
Costa Rican Bliss invites you into a rhythm of shared presence, where connection happens naturally through movement, play, stillness, and time immersed in nature.
A curated transformational adventure retreat
From the moment you arrive in Costa Rica, the pace softens. For those who wish, an optional night at a boutique hotel near San José offers time to land, rest, and begin the experience feeling grounded. The journey continues the following morning with a private charter flight to Quepos, revealing sweeping views of jungle and coastline before a scenic transfer into the Diamante Valley and the secluded sanctuary of Vajra Jahra.
Once settled, the retreat opens with a welcoming circle led by featured facilitator Gretchen Fox Palmer. Her R³ practice, Recharge, Reset & Refocus, offers a gentle framework for the week ahead through guided reflection, intention setting, and supportive coaching woven throughout the experience.
The first days are designed to help you arrive fully. Mornings begin with mindful movement and quiet moments in nature, followed by rainforest walks and a grounding blue clay ritual. Spacious afternoons invite deep relaxation with time for swimming, resting, or optional spa treatments.
Midweek brings adventure and play. You will spend a day on the Pacific during a whale watching excursion in Uvita, exploring the protected waters of Bahía Ballena and its iconic whale tail formation. Another day unfolds slowly with a late brunch by the pool, a creative vision boarding session, and a hands on Costa Rican cooking class using fresh local ingredients.
As the week continues, you will visit a regenerative farm, enjoy a relaxed wine tasting dinner, and experience moments for reflection and connection. The final full day includes a secret waterfall, a local artisan market, and a sunset gathering on the beach. That evening, the retreat closes around a bonfire with a simple integration ceremony honoring what you are ready to carry forward.
The retreat includes six nights at Vajra Jahra, nourishing meals made with locally sourced ingredients, private charter flights and ground transportation, curated excursions, and on site facilitation throughout.
You will leave not only refreshed by Costa Rica’s wild beauty, but recharged, reset, and refocused on the life you are ready to create.
The Venue
Nestled in Costa Rica’s Diamante Valley, Vajra Jahra Villas & Retreat Center is a secluded sanctuary designed for rest, presence, and connection. Surrounded by rainforest and waterfall views, the property offers private villas that blend modern comfort with the rhythms of nature. With an infinity pool, open-air gathering spaces, and a peaceful sense of privacy, it’s an ideal setting to slow down, exhale, and truly arrive.
