A Mother’s Day Experience to Reconnect

Give your mother-daughter relationship improved social-emotional skills to thrive

There are seasons in every mother–daughter relationship where connection feels effortless… and seasons where it doesn’t.

Where communication gets harder. Where emotions run deeper than words can hold. Where, even with love, you just can’t quite find each other.

But what if there were a space to reconnect—

not by talking it all through… but by feeling your way back to each other?

This Mother’s Day, we’re creating exactly that.

In partnership with Creekhaven Inn & Spa and international wellbeing producer Sara Champagne, Kenshō Stables is offering a stand-alone, half-day equine experience for moms and daughters—designed to deepen connection through presence, awareness, and shared experience.

Why Horses?

Horses don’t respond to what we say. They respond to what we feel.

They mirror energy with incredible accuracy—reflecting back patterns around trust, boundaries, and emotional presence in real time.

There’s nothing to perform. Nothing to get right. Just honest feedback… and the opportunity to experience each other in a new way.

For mothers and daughters, this creates something rare:

A shared space of awareness—without judgment, without pressure, and without needing to “figure it all out.”

What You’ll Experience Together:

This is not a riding lesson. It’s a guided, ground-based experience designed to gently open new pathways of connection.

Together, you will:

Deepen Awareness of Each Other

Horses reflect what’s happening beneath the surface—helping you both see and understand how your energy impacts one another.

Strengthen Trust & Communication

Through simple, facilitated interactions, you’ll explore new ways of relating that don’t rely on saying the “right” thing.

Learn Boundaries That Feel Good

Horses respond to clarity and consistency. You’ll both experience what it feels like to set boundaries that are respectful, calm, and effective.

Build Confidence & Self-Trust

Working with these powerful animals naturally invites presence, clarity, and grounded leadership—from both mom and daughter.

Experience Connection Without Pressure

No forced conversations. No fixing. Just shared moments that create space for something new to emerge.

A Different Kind of Mother’s Day

My mom and I had a tough relationship during my teen years.

We came through it—but there were stretches where we just couldn’t find each other.

And I keep thinking…
what if we’d had a space like this?

A space to pause. To soften. To reconnect without needing to solve everything in a single conversation.

This experience is that space.

What to Expect:

This half-day experience blends experiential learning, emotional intelligence coaching, and time with the horses in a calm, supportive environment.

You’ll be guided through:

  • A gentle arrival and intention-setting

  • Ground-based exercises with horses (no riding involved)

  • Simple mindfulness practices to support emotional regulation

  • Facilitated reflection and integration

No prior horse experience is needed—just a willingness to show up as you are.

Why this matters:

We live in a time where relationships are often strained by distraction, stress, and unspoken emotion.

And yet—connection is what we’re all craving most.

Research and experience show that working with horses can:

  • Reduce stress

  • Increase emotional awareness

  • Improve communication and relational dynamics

But more than that… it gives you a felt experience of connection.

Not something you talk about later—something you actually live, together.

Ready to connect together?

If you’ve been craving a moment to reconnect with your daughter—or to offer her an experience that will stay with her far beyond the day — This is for you.

Spaces are limited to keep the experience intimate.

FAQ’s

  • The purpose of equine facilitated learning (EFL) is to expand our personal awareness through a series of equine guided experiences.

These experiences allow us to enhance our abilities to notice and learn from our emotions and feelings as well as those of other sentient beings (animals and humans).

The EFL exercises are designed as building blocks to open new neural pathways in our mind and our body by stretching our ability to feel the presence and intention of others through using our entire bodies as a sensory device.

  • Yes! Equine facilitated learning exercises are done on the ground guided by a trained coach and horse professional. Horses are always in controlled environments (behind a fence or in a halter with a lead rope). These are non-riding experiences.

  • All horses will be under control in a fenced paddock or on a lead rope in every horse experience. In addition, you may refrain from being around a horse as much as you choose. We encourage everyone to explore fears like fear of horses, safely with professional guidance.

  • Absolutely not, you may choose to do whichever sessions you want; however, sessions build upon each other and so it is advantageous to complete them all.

  • Our workshops are intimate experience with group size capped at a maximum of 5 participants per facilitator.
